We had a chat with the project team to understand more about it! We talked to Andre Salem, Andre Daher, and Guilherme Maricato, Blockforce collaborators who contribute to the success of Moeda Seeds.
What is the role of Blockforce on Moeda Seeds project?
Blockforce and Moeda Seeds have been together since day one. Blockforce was founded with the dream of driving social innovation through the solutions that blockchain provides and Moeda was the firstborn of this dream.
Blockforce provides the technical solutions necessary to keep Moeda Seeds up and running. This means that:
.We develop all the blockchain structure in order to run the system
.We design the business and the consumer interfaces in order to provide a great experience for the people involved. In order for the users to have an amazing experience, we ran tests and found the best alternative of UX design for the frontend, the backend, and the marketplace.
This means that we provide an accessible platform for local entrepreneurs, investors, and customers, which translates into a broader impact.
.We created the Moeda token used on the platform (MDA, MDABRL, MDALOYAL, MDAX e MDAB) which provides transactional security both to investors and entrepreneurs alike.
From anywhere in the world, secure and transparent contributions can be made in ventures and projects selected by our technical network that promote the enhancement and development of local communities.
All the social impact made possible by Moeda Seeds was so apparent that this cryptocurrency set a new record for ICOs in Brazil. It is the largest one for a Brazilian company to this day.
.Since we want to provide a quality service to all our partners, we also constantly give all the technical support of the solution, making sure that our partner's system is up 24/7.
.Besides that, we implement, develop, and maintain all the business logic related to technology.
Who were the key partners during the process?
Besides Moeda Seeds team:
- Cielo: enabling access to payment methods with card and QRCode
- Access: providing digital account services and issuance of currency cards
- Infolog: giving technical support and field operation management for Marketplace and Seed Projects
Technically, how was the solution developed?

Our Backend was developed segmented in microservices and implemented using Node.js and the APIs architecture was developed in GraphQL.
The Frontend was produced in React / Vue in the web version and React Native in the App version for smartphones.
Finally, the blockchain solution that encompasses the project as a whole was built using the protocols of Stellar and Ethereum.
What impact does the solution provide?
The technology allows social investments to be made from anywhere in the world in a transparent, secure, traceable manner and without intermediaries, making the data reliable and enabling the generation of credit to small rural producers that work in order to UN Sustainable Development Goals. Ultimately, the solution aims to promote the promotion and sustainable development of local communities.
